How we see the role

The mission of the role:

Support the financial operations of the company to provide current and updated reporting, providing ECO Surv with the tools to make informed decisions to enable the growth and success of the company.

The Assistant Accountant will form part of the Finance Team, reporting to the CFO with direct line management through the Finance Manager.

 

Key tasks include:

  • Maintain accuracy of client and supplier financial records
  • Prepare new accounts and initial sign up invoices for new clients
  • Assist with the monthly billing process
  • Manage the credit control and liaise with accounts managers
  • Maintain and update DD records
  • Verify and process supplier invoices and prepare the payment run
  • Verify and reimburse employee expense claims
  • Support cash management with daily bank reconciliations, following up on missing receipts/invoices
  • Support with the completion of management and annual accounts
  • Maintain and enforce company policies and procedures, ensuring that we remain compliant with financial regulations
  • Perform general administrative tasks such as scanning, accounts queries and internal queries
  • Assist in gathering data for financial analysis and budgets
  • Assist with company VAT return
  • Update and maintain petty cash
  • Support payroll process and assist with queries
  • Report discrepancies
  • Provide support during internal and external audits
  • Support with any requests from CFO or directors

 

Do you have…

  • Good knowledge of MS Excel and accounting software
  • 2 years experience in a similar role
  • AAT Level 2 or equivalent experience – not mandatory as training will be given
  • Good organizational skills and time management skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills and confidence to raise concerns.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes and technologies.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive financial information.
